Conducted a traffic study to determine the width of the realignment of Campus Drive and Hackberry Lane. |
| Western Wake Freeway (end date August 2001) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Community Impact Assessment and Public Involvement | The proposed Western Wake Freeway was a new road that would connect six cities. The freeway would adjoin Northern Wake Freeway at NC 55, and it would be built in sections. The proposed freeway was anticipated to provide an outer loop. Ms. Slade determined the environmental consequences, impacts to the human environment, socioeconomic impacts, economic impacts, cumulative impacts, and environmental justice issues; researched the demographics, archaeological sites, historic architectural properties, revenues, land values, land uses, and parks and greenways; hosted public hearings to present alternatives to the community and obtaining public feedback. |
